Interesting year, west seems to have closed some of the gap to the top teams
in the east, MW and south. But the Pac 12 will keep beating each other up
so the rankings will be interesting as always. Ill. is No 1 currently,
and No 2 Wash got knocked off by Cal this week. Liked what I saw of
Kentucky on TV the other night, good talent. The WCC game the prior week
was pretty sad, not their year.

Well it shifted, Neb on top. And the RPI is still biased against the left
coast.

Well as bad as the Pac 12 did in the RPI rankings the coaches poll seems
to think that is the best conference, at the moment. Cal up to 2nd last
week and then goes for two sweeps in AZ this weekend. Then again, USC
went for two sweeps at No. 3. And with Ill. going down to Neb. the top
ranking will shift for sure.

Why am I not surprised, no real followers for VB. Well, the RPI wasn't
kind to the Pac 12, Stanford, USC and UCLA got some love at 9, 10 & 12 but
Cal is all the way down at 27. As usual it will take the tournament to
sort out the real teams.
